Welcome on board
As you stroll across the harbour, you can see the MS Zeppelin covered in colourful flags from afar. Once on the jetty, the passionate boatman Ruedi Fürst welcomes his guests aboard the historic ship every Sunday during the summer months. On the one hand, there is space on the covered sun deck where you can enjoy the fresh sea breeze. On the other hand, the cosy interior can be used when it is cool outside.
New zealand follows suit
As soon as the ship has cast off, it heads west, past the Kornhaus and the shipyard of the Swiss Lake Constance Shipping Company. Guests are accompanied by a guide, who provides an insight into the history and present-day life of Romanshorn. Significant and curious facts take you on a journey back in time through the overwhelming history of transport and remind you of the importance of access to the lake. How else would you have learnt that the same Asco Fountain is on the other side of the world?
Land in sight
In between, Ruedi Fürst provides refreshing drinks to quench your thirst. Time is racing. Passing the Inseli fishing harbour, the one-and-a-half-hour journey draws to a close. Catch one last glimpse of the city scenery or the mountain landscape of the Säntis before it's time to say ahoy and welcome back ashore! If you would like to enjoy this experience yourself, you can book the harbour cruise either on fixed dates or for individual group excursions. Children and wheelchair users are also very welcome on board.
