St. Bartholomew's Church / Paritätische Kirche Pfyn
The parish church of St. Bartholomew is located inside the late Roman fort Ad Fines and is one of the oldest churches in Thurgau.
This fact indicates that there was also a settlement in the Roman ruins during the early Middle Ages. The church on the east side of the fort was first mentioned in a document in 1155, although it may have been donated to the diocese of Constance by King Dagobert I as early as 630.
