Roxy Cinema

Roxy Cinema
Today's ROXY cinema in Romanshorn was once a movie theater from the very beginning. Today it is a modern meeting place for movie lovers of all interests and an integral part of Romanshorn's cultural life.
Today's ROXY cinema was built in 1920 as the Orpheum cinema and was run by cinema pioneer Albert Jäggin and his family for several decades. From 2001, films from the "IG für feines Kino" (IG for fine cinema) were added to the program. The necessary switch to digital projection technology finally brought about a new beginning. Since 2012, the newly created Feines Kino association has been running an excellently equipped cinema under the name Kino ROXY. The program ranges from fine films that touch, to independent films from all over the world, to entertainment, children's and family films. In addition, readings, discussions, performances by guests or joint events with other cultural organizers and associations also take place in the cinema. The detailed program is available on the cinema's website.
