Ittingen Charterhouse

Nestled in the former monastery grounds, stylish, modern hotel rooms invite you to take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and recharge your batteries. A unique hotel for short breaks, seminars, parties, weddings, courses and excursions.

Today, Ittingen Charterhouse is one of the leading seminar and cultural centers in Switzerland. The former Carthusian monastery has been authentically preserved and restored. Guests have access to a hotel with 68 rooms (3-star superior), a restaurant, a bar in the former ox stables, various event locations with around 1,000 seats and 22 seminar rooms with up to 450 seats. In unique historical surroundings, Ittingen Charterhouse offers an incomparable setting for a variety of social and cultural events. In addition to the hospitality business, Ittingen Charterhouse also runs a wine-growing estate, a butcher's shop, fish farm, market garden and cheese dairy, as well as a home and workshop for sheltered employees. It is also home to two museums and the "tecum" educational center.
Thanks to its setting in the wonderful natural scenery of Thurgau, surrounded by vineyards, fruit trees and the unspoiled Thur landscape, this place has a decelerating yet powerful effect.
